Abstract
The project has continued its work with each ally, local authorities, and community leaders. In the "Connectivity and Digital Tools for Areas of Alternative Development" component, Yachay Telecommunications has implemented internet service in 15 locations, which have undergone a technical verification process conducted by CEDRO's staff. A specialized team has been formed to promote the commercialization of products and services associated with connectivity in the connected locations. The project has developed trainings on using digital tools, with an emphasis on using the CISCO methodology. A total of 2,827 people (1,343 men and 1,484 women) have been trained in using digital and technological tools. Additionally, 640 people (291 men and 349 women) were trained in the "Entrepreneurship" course about digital entrepreneurship. Furthermore, 83 people (50 men and 33 women) have been trained in the IT Essentials course (installation, configuration, support, and maintenance of computer and network equipment), and are now capable of replicating the course in their respective locations. In the "Access and Use of Rural Financial Services in Areas of Alternative Development" component, Microfinanzas Prisma conducted the ceremony of opening its agencies in Juanjuí and Tocache, after having obtained the permits from the National Federation of Cooperation in Peru (FENACREP). The Alliance is still coordinating with MiBanco to implement activities in financial education, which will promote the supply of financial services in the prioritized areas. With Financiera Confianza, a new version of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was drafted, which is now under review and awaiting signatures. The Alliance has also continued to incorporate new financial entities to the project, with a MOU drafted with Caja Los Andes, which was sent to USAID for its approval. The training process in financial education has continued, with a total of 4,512 people (1,398 men and 3,114 women) in 272 groups having been trained. Some of the trainings included the participation of the financial allies, Microfinanzas Prisma and MiBanco.
