Abstract
The project's objective is to fortify institutions that work on human rights to reduce stigma and discrimination of vulnerable populations affected by HIV. The project's focus is on Guatemala, where a virtual training course for formators in human rights of people living with HIV and the LGBTI population was developed. The course, titled "Curso de Formación de Formadores Virtuales en Derechos Humanos de las Personas con VIH y Población LGBTI," is designed to equip formators with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively train others on human rights. The course is divided into seven modules, each covering a specific topic. Module 1, "Formador en entornos virtuales," focuses on the skills and knowledge required to be an effective virtual trainer. This includes understanding virtual education, the history of virtual education, and the use of virtual platforms for educational purposes. The module also covers how to create activities, such as forums and tasks, and how to use tools for communication, such as messages and chat. Module 2, "Términos y Estándares Relevantes," introduces the formators to relevant terms and standards in the field of human rights. This includes an exercise to help formators understand the concepts and a rúbrica de evaluación to assess their knowledge. Module 3, "Derechos Humanos e Interseccionalidad," explores the intersection of human rights and interseccionality. This module covers the principles of Yogyakarta and international recommendations on human rights, as well as the concept of interseccionalidad. Module 4, "Principios de Yogyakarta y recomendaciones internacionales en materia de derechos humanos," delves deeper into the principles of Yogyakarta and international recommendations on human rights. Module 5, "Estigma y discriminación," examines the issues of stigma and discrimination, particularly in the context of HIV and the LGBTI population.
