Abstract
The law stipulates principles of gender equality in all aspects of social and family life, measures to guarantee equality, and describes the responsibilities of agencies, organizations, families, and individuals in applying, monitoring, and handling violations of gender equality. Three government decrees have provided guidelines for the law's implementation. The Ministry of Justice (MOJ) is responsible for gender mainstreaming and assessment of gender mainstreaming in the development of laws. The MOJ has made progress in assessing the gender impact and gender mainstreaming in draft laws.
