Abstract
The initiative aimed to enhance stability in key areas of Afghanistan's eastern provinces. Initial assessments identified major challenges, including security concerns, limited economic opportunities, and inadequate infrastructure. Implementation and training trackers revealed progress in various provinces. In Ghazni, provincial-level activities focused on capacity building, infrastructure development, and economic growth. Andar District saw improvements in agricultural production, while Dih Yak District experienced increased access to healthcare services. Jaghatu District benefited from infrastructure development, and Khwaja Umari District received training on governance and economic development. In Khost, provincial-level activities emphasized security and economic development. Gurbuz District received training on governance and economic development, while Jaji Maidan District benefited from infrastructure development. Tani District experienced increased access to healthcare services. Logar Province focused on capacity building, infrastructure development, and economic growth. Baraki Barak District saw improvements in agricultural production, while Khoshi District experienced increased access to healthcare services. Maydan Wardak Province emphasized security and economic development. Chaki Wardak District received training on governance and economic development, while Jalriz District benefited from infrastructure development. Nirkh District experienced increased access to healthcare services, and Saydabad District received training on governance and economic development. Paktya Province focused on capacity building, infrastructure development, and economic growth. Laja Ahmad Khail and Laja Mangal Districts saw improvements in agricultural production, while Zadran District experienced increased access to healthcare services. Kabul-based and combined activities included workshops and trainings on governance, economic development, and security. The Stability Analysis and Planning Unit provided strategic guidance, while the Resource Delivery Unit ensured effective resource allocation. The Communication and Outreach Unit promoted program awareness, and the Service Delivery Unit provided essential services. The Grants and Sub-contracts Unit managed program funding, and the Capacity Building and Gender Unit promoted gender equality and capacity building. The Program Support Unit provided administrative support, and the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Unit assessed program effectiveness.
