Abstract
Agency for International Development under Agreement No. AID-OAA-A-12-00047, beginning October 1, 2012. APC is implemented by JSI Research & Training Institute, Inc., in collaboration with FHI 360. The project focuses on advancing and supporting community programs that seek to improve the overall health of communities and achieve other health-related impacts, especially in relationship to family planning. APC provides global leadership for community-based programming, executes and manages small- and medium-sized sub-awards, supports procurement reform by preparing awards for execution by USAID, and builds technical capacity of organizations to implement effective programs. The project's objectives are aligned with USAID's goals and priorities, and APC works closely with USAID to ensure that all project activities and outputs meet the required standards. As a USAID awardee, APC is required to use the USAID identity on project deliverables and products. The USAID identity must be, at a minimum, the same size and of the same prominence as the awardee's logo on each deliverable or product. The USAID identity includes the USAID logo, which may appear on the top or bottom of the awardee materials. For examples of appropriate use and placement of the USAID identity, please refer to Appendix 2 for a sample subawardee report template, PowerPoint slides, and a press release. All USAID funding recipients, and recipients of sub-subawards issued by APC, are subject to the branding and marking requirements listed in Table 1. These requirements include the use of the USAID identity on printed documents, websites, and videos, as well as the inclusion of specific language on the front or inside cover of publications. The language must include the name of the awardee, the agreement number, and the date of the agreement. APC requires all award recipients to submit an award Branding and Marking Plan to APC within 30 days of the award counter-signing date. This plan should include all types of deliverables and products that will be created during the project period. A template for the awardee Branding and Marking Plan is available in Appendix 1. The Branding and Marking Plan illustrates how a project will use USAID branding on project deliverables and products, and it is an important step in developing the project's identity. The Branding and Marking Plan helps APC understand how and when the awardee will use USAID branding on project deliverables and products. It also assists the awardee in communicating with donors, beneficiaries, and stakeholders about the great work that is being done. The plan is an essential tool for ensuring that all project activities and outputs meet the required standards and that the awardee is in compliance with USAID's branding and marking requirements. APC's Branding and Marking Plan is designed to ensure that all project deliverables and products meet the required standards and that the awardee is in compliance with USAID's branding and marking requirements. The plan includes specific guidelines for the use of the USAID identity on printed documents, websites, and videos, as well as the inclusion of specific language on the front or inside cover of publications. By following these guidelines, the awardee can ensure that all project activities and outputs meet the required standards and that the awardee is in compliance with USAID's branding and marking requirements.
