Abstract
The network is designed to support the development of education programs in crisis and conflict-affected areas. The EiCC Network is composed of a Steering Group (SG) that includes representatives from USAID, implementing partners, and academia. The SG is responsible for guiding the development of the network and ensuring that it meets its objectives. The network also includes a Planning Committee that is responsible for developing the Terms of Reference for the network. The Terms of Reference for the EiCC Network were drafted in March 2015 and include a description of the network's purpose, scope, and objectives. The document outlines the roles and responsibilities of the SG and the Planning Committee, as well as the expected outcomes of the network. The EiCC Network has made significant progress in its first year, with the establishment of the SG and the Planning Committee. The network has also developed a Terms of Reference document that outlines its purpose and objectives. However, there are some challenges that need to be addressed, including the lack of representation from certain categories of applicants. The EiCC Network is expected to continue to grow and develop in the coming years, with a focus on building the capacity of USAID and its partners to achieve Goal 3 of the USAID Education Strategy. The network will provide a platform for sharing knowledge and best practices in education in crisis and conflict-affected areas, and will support the development of education programs that are tailored to the needs of crisis-affected populations. The network's progress will be monitored and evaluated regularly to ensure that it is meeting its objectives. The evaluation will include an assessment of the network's effectiveness in building the capacity of USAID and its partners, as well as its impact on education programs in crisis and conflict-affected areas. The EiCC Network is an important initiative that has the potential to make a significant contribution to the achievement of Goal 3 of the USAID Education Strategy. Its success will depend on the continued support and commitment of its members, as well as the effective management of its activities and resources. The network's focus on building the capacity of USAID and its partners to achieve Goal 3 of the USAID Education Strategy is critical to its success. The network's ability to provide a platform for sharing knowledge and best practices in education in crisis and conflict-affected areas will be essential in supporting the development of education programs that are tailored to the needs of crisis-affected populations.
