USAID Enhance Activity Annual Performance Report Year I

The goal of the Activity is to strengthen citizen-centric local governance in Thailand. The Activity aims to strengthen capacity of local government and nongovernment stakeholders in citizen-centric governance, strengthen communications, networking, and innovations among government and nongovernment stakeholders, and ensure wider institutionalization of successful local innovations that support citizen-centric governance. The Activity is based on the premise that mutually reinforcing efforts and deeper collaboration between government and nongovernment stakeholders will provide increased opportunities for citizens to participate in government and empower them to voice their concerns. Strengthening communications, networking, and innovations among government and nongovernment stakeholders can facilitate more citizen-centric local governance, contributing to constructive governance innovations. The Activity's interventions focus on strengthening capacity of local government and nongovernment stakeholders, promoting citizen-centric governance, and ensuring wider institutionalization of successful local innovations. The Activity's approach is based on the Theory of Change, which outlines the causal relationships between the Activity's interventions and the desired outcomes.
