Abstract
The report covers the period from October 1, 2019, to September 30, 2020, and is a comprehensive account of the program's achievements and progress. The program's vision is to improve the availability, accessibility, and quality of reproductive, maternal, newborn, and child health (RMNCH+) services in Jordan. The mission is to strengthen the capacity of the Ministry of Health and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality RMNCH+ services, with a focus on improving maternal and child health outcomes. The program's implementation approach is based on a collaborative framework that brings together government, non-governmental organizations, and private sector partners to achieve common goals. The program's activities are guided by a set of key results, which include expanding the availability and access to integrated RMNCH+ services, improving the quality of these services, and strengthening the capacity of the health system to deliver high-quality care. One of the key achievements of the program is the expansion of the availability and access to integrated RMNCH+ services. The program has increased the number of service delivery points, improved the quality of services, and increased community involvement to promote and increase demand for RMNCH+ services. The program has also improved the quality of integrated RMNCH+ services by strengthening provider competence and behavior, and improving management to support delivery of high-quality services. The program has also made significant progress in improving maternal and child health outcomes. The program has supported the implementation of Jordan's 2020 National Preparedness and Response Plan for COVID-19, and has provided technical assistance to the Ministry of Health to strengthen its capacity to respond to the pandemic. The program has also supported the development of a maternal mortality surveillance and response system, which has helped to improve data collection and analysis on maternal mortality. The program has also collaborated with a range of partners, including the Ministry of Health, non-governmental organizations, and private sector partners. The program has also supported the development of a range of knowledge products, including reports, briefs, and training materials, to support the implementation of the program's activities. Overall, the USAID Health Service Delivery FY20 Annual Performance Report provides a comprehensive account of the program's achievements and progress, and highlights the importance of collaborative approaches to improving maternal and child health outcomes in Jordan.
