Abstract
The project began on August 3, 2020, and is set to conclude on August 1, 2025. The project's main purpose is to increase the availability and quality of health services, improve the supply and distribution chain for essential drugs, and reduce financial barriers to health services. The project's interventions focused on six key results: improved availability of health services, improved quality of health services, improved supply and distribution chain for essential drugs, improved use of the health information system, improved governance, leadership, and accountability, and reduced financial barriers to health services. The project implemented various activities, including training for health personnel, infrastructure development, and market linkage facilitation. The project's management and staffing included recruiting project staff, national NGO recruitment, and risk management and security. The project also addressed cross-cutting issues such as gender and gender-based violence, resilience, youth, inclusive development, science technology, innovations, and research, environmental compliance and climate risk management, protecting life in global health, private sector engagement, sustainability, and development of local capacities. The project's quarterly report for January to March 2021 highlighted progress in various areas, including the implementation of the national quality improvement approach, improved integrated formative supervision, and the review of data requirements and research of models to simplify data collection. The report also mentioned the update of computerized supervision tools, the establishment of a support team for monitoring and evaluation, and the training of regional and district management teams on RDQA tools.
