Abstract
The initiative was implemented from October 2019 to September 2020, with a focus on community stakeholders identifying and accepting solutions to specific drivers of conflict. The initiative also focused on participatory solutions, involving women and other marginalized groups. The SPR initiative also aimed to promote inclusive allocation of resources for community development. Key accomplishments included the establishment of Local Community Organization Committees (CLOC) and the implementation of a participatory action research (PAR) approach. Challenges and solutions implemented included addressing COVID-19-related disruptions and promoting integration of conflict sensitivity into SPR operations and implementation. Inclusion was a crosscutting theme throughout the initiative, with a focus on promoting the participation of women and other marginalized groups. The initiative also integrated conflict sensitivity into its operations and implementation, with a focus on promoting peace and recovery in the region. Monitoring, evaluation, and learning were critical components of the initiative, with a focus on tracking progress against performance indicators and making adjustments as needed.
