Abstract
The country's agricultural production is heavily reliant on rainfall, which is often unpredictable and insufficient. Crop yields are frequently below regional averages, resulting in food insecurity and economic hardship for many Yemeni households. The region's agricultural sector is characterized by small-scale farming operations, with many farmers relying on manual labor and traditional farming practices. More than 2,500 farmers received training in sustainable agriculture practices, including composting, crop rotation, and irrigation management. The program's success highlights the importance of addressing the root causes of food insecurity in Yemen, including limited access to markets, inadequate infrastructure, and inadequate agricultural practices.
