Grant is provided under the USAID/El Salvador Technical Support project to Patronato Pro-Integracion de la Mujer al Desarrollo (PIMUDE) to support a 3-day regional meeting to discuss the consolidation of democracy and peace in El Salvador as part of the continued democratic development of the country.

Abstract
This regional workshop will bring together women leaders of civic organizations from Latin America, the United States, and Canada, and Salvadorans of different economic backgrounds and political ideologies to examine: the role of women and civic organizations in a democracy; government accountability; civic participation; the judicial system; and economic and social development issues. The meeting is scheduled for 11/92; there will be about 100 participants.
