AID grant no. AID/NESA-G-1168 (Tunisia) to the Committee for American Relief Everywhere, Inc. (CARE) to provide support for a program in well water supply rehabilitation/reconstruction in Bizerte Governorate

In cooperation with the Ministry of Public Health, the Bizerte Governorate, and Peace Corps volunteers, CARE will: (1) construct or renovate 100 water sources, i.e., 75 natural springs and 25 open wells, to improve the potable water supply for 60% of the target population; and (2) establish a two-person mobile team to educate the population in basic water sanitation. Through training, CARE will also ensure that Bizerte Governorate gains a permanent capacity to construct/renovate water sources and to maintain and disinfect wells.
