Abstract
The program begins with participants forming a circle and reading a set of instructions. The instructions guide the children to imagine themselves as reporters, interviewing their partners about their goals and aspirations. The first question posed to the children is "What are the goals that you want to achieve as you grow older?" This question is designed to encourage children to think critically about their future and set realistic goals. The children are then asked to share their responses with their peers and discuss their answers in pairs. The second question, "What do you hope to accomplish before you get married?" is intended to help children think about their long-term goals and what they want to achieve before entering into a committed relationship. This question also encourages children to think about their personal values and what is important to them. The third question, "After you finish schooling, what do you hope your future husband or wife will be like?" is designed to help children think about their ideal partner and what qualities they value in a relationship. This question also encourages children to think about their own values and what they want to achieve in their personal lives. The fourth question, "What type of community do you want to live in when you grow up?" is intended to help children think about their ideal living situation and what they want to achieve in their community. This question also encourages children to think about their role in their community and how they can contribute to its development. After the children have answered all the questions, they are asked to form a circle again and discuss their responses as a group. The group discussion is designed to encourage children to share their thoughts and ideas with one another and to learn from each other's perspectives. The discussion questions are designed to help children reflect on their experiences and thoughts about their goals and aspirations. The questions include "How did you feel to share your goals for the future with your peers?" and "What are the things that you can do to help other young people in the community achieve their goals as well?" The program concludes with a commitment from each child to make a change in their life to help achieve their goals. Each child is asked to name one thing they can do this year to help achieve their goals and one thing they can do to help their friends achieve their goals. This commitment is designed to encourage children to take action and make a positive change in their lives.
