Abstract
The meeting focused on reviewing and editing the annual report in preparation for the Partners' Day and Powering Africa Summit events. The attendees included Hazel, Hesca, Leslie, Ryan, Lois, Nadine, and Khosi. The team reviewed the annual report's designed version, presented by GP Tech, and made several suggestions and edits. These included adding a diversity of visuals beyond clean energy visuals, incorporating a light bulb icon on page 11, and reviewing photo credits to add "for Power Africa" after the photographer's name. The team also agreed to remove quotes from some sections, replace COP 28 photos, and ensure that the annual report content resonates with the target audience. In terms of implementation, the team discussed the Support for Partners Day 2024 task, which included booking a walk-through at NPC, arranging an introductory meeting with the event videographer/photographer, and meeting with Melanie from the NPC's Broadcast department to discuss the corkage fee. The team also discussed the Support for Powering Africa Summit 2024 task, which included finalizing registrations and payment for seven Power Africa staff and Lois' pass. The team also reviewed the status of ongoing tasks, including the Annual Report 2023, which was still in progress. The team agreed to provide further direction on several tasks, including the Support for Enlit Africa 2024 and the Purchase Power Africa Pins. In terms of completed tasks, the team reported that the Enlit 2024 Flyer had been updated and sent to PA, and the FY2023 Q4 Materials Update had been completed. The team also reported that the Update WAEP Fact Sheet was in design at GP Tech, and the Procure pass to Africa Energy Indaba 2024 had been completed. The team also discussed several other tasks, including the Blog Summaries, Outline Annual Report Development Process, and Layout of Google Drive, which were all scheduled to start after the Powering Africa Summit event. The team also reported that the Purchase Pass to PIAFRICA 2024 had been completed, and the Update Comms Guide had been updated with Hazel Correa's details on January 24. Overall, the meeting focused on reviewing and editing the annual report, discussing implementation details for several tasks, and reviewing the status of ongoing tasks.
