The objective of this Task Order is to rehabilitate the existing road that connects Al Jalameh crossing checkpoint to the Qabatiya-Tubas Road. The road will function as a bypass around the eastern side of the Jenin Municipality, reducing traffic congestion within the city center. It will carry commercial traffic to and from Al Jalameh crossing in the northern portion of the West Bank, as well as provide improved access to Arab American University. The project is expected to induce new development, increase road safety, and reduce travel time through the area. The project is an Indefinite Quantity Contract, with a contract value of USD 14,688,396.00. The contract was awarded on April 22, 2015, and the Notice to Proceed (NTP) date was May 18, 2015. The contractor has established a Quality Control Program (QCP) to ensure that all work meets the required standards. The project team is also conducting regular inspections to ensure compliance with the contract requirements. The project has made significant progress, with a total of 2,500 calendar days worked as of February 29, 2016. The project team has also completed various site visits, inspections, and testing, as required by the contract. The project is on track to meet the contractual deadline, with a revised completion date of March 22, 2016.
