Abstract
The project is part of the USAID Mission Infrastructure Needs Program II (INP II), which focuses on the rehabilitation and construction of roads, schools, and water and wastewater projects. The objective of this Task Order is to construct two new water reservoirs, two new booster pump stations, and their associated supply and distribution pipelines. The project is located in the Al Atatrah area, situated north of the Gaza Strip. The construction of the reservoirs and pumping facilities is expected to increase access to clean drinking water for the population of Gaza, thereby contributing to the improvement of the Palestinian economy. The project is being implemented by The Morganti Group, Inc., a construction management contractor, under the supervision of the USAID Mission. The project scope includes the construction of two new water reservoirs with a combined capacity of 1,500 cubic meters, two new booster pump stations, and their associated supply and distribution pipelines. The project also involves the installation of water treatment facilities and the rehabilitation of existing water infrastructure. The construction work is expected to be completed within a specified timeframe, with regular progress updates and quality control measures in place to ensure the project's successful completion. The project's safety and environmental compliance are of utmost importance, with regular site visits and inspections conducted by the project team to ensure adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations. The project also involves community outreach and engagement, with the aim of raising awareness about the project's objectives and benefits among the local population. A Gender Action Plan has been developed to ensure that the project's benefits are equitably distributed among both men and women. The project's progress is monitored and reported on a monthly basis, with regular updates on the construction schedule, quality control measures, and any challenges or obstacles encountered during the project's implementation. The project's performance is evaluated against a set of indicators, including the completion of construction work, the quality of the constructed facilities, and the project's impact on the local community.
