Abstract
The spreadsheet is a collective set of worksheets that contain information, data, and formulas, governed by a color-coded "rules" system. The spreadsheet is made using Microsoft Excel software, which should be installed on the LGUs' computers to use the tool. The basic parts of the spreadsheet screen include columns, rows, cells, the formula bar, worksheets, datasheets, and the spreadsheet itself. Columns are denoted by capital letters, while rows are denoted by numbers. Cells are rectangular boxes that store data, and the formula bar displays data or formulas used in active cells. Worksheets are single pages composed of many cells arranged in a grid pattern, and datasheets are worksheets used for data collection purposes. The spreadsheet uses a color-coding scheme for easy reference, with yellow tabs and cells indicating data inputs. The user is required to fill out these yellow cells with data. The spreadsheet also features arrows and drop-down menus that allow users to view tabs and select applicable data. The GHG Inventory Quantification Support Spreadsheet is designed to assist LGUs in collecting and quantifying GHG emissions data. The tool is intended to be used in conjunction with the GHG Inventory Quantification Support Manual, which provides step-by-step procedures for filling out the worksheets. The manual is designed to help LGUs understand the basic features of the spreadsheet and the inventory process. The GHG Inventory Quantification Support Spreadsheet is a key component of the GHG inventory process, which involves collecting and quantifying GHG emissions data from various sources, including leased and owned facilities, stationary and mobile combustion, electricity, solid waste, and employee travel. The spreadsheet provides a framework for collecting and organizing this data, making it easier for LGUs to track and report their GHG emissions. The spreadsheet is designed to be user-friendly, with clear instructions and guidelines for filling out the worksheets. The tool is intended to be used by LGUs to support their climate change mitigation and adaptation efforts, and to help them meet their reporting requirements under the Local Climate Change Action Plan (LCCAP). The GHG Inventory Quantification Support Spreadsheet is a valuable tool for LGUs, providing a systematic and structured approach to collecting and quantifying GHG emissions data. By using this tool, LGUs can improve their understanding of their GHG emissions and develop effective strategies for reducing them, ultimately contributing to a more sustainable and climate-resilient future.
