The Enhancing Equality in Energy for Southeast Asia (E4SEA) Activity is a USAID-funded initiative aimed at promoting equality in the energy sector in Southeast Asia.

Abstract
The activity focuses on increasing workplace diversity, improving inclusive workplace environments, and expanding equitable promotion opportunities. The E4SEA Activity is implemented by CORE International, Inc. and is managed by the USAID Regional Development Mission for Asia (RDMA/Thailand). The activity's performance work statement outlines five key outcomes: increased workplace diversity, improved inclusive workplace environments, expanded equitable promotion opportunities, increased representation of women in the energy sector, and enhanced policy reform. To achieve these outcomes, the E4SEA Activity employs a range of strategies, including training and capacity building, policy reform, and community outreach. During the reporting period of January 1 to March 31, 2023, the E4SEA Activity made significant progress towards its objectives. The activity implemented a range of interventions, including the development of a regional energy mentorship program, increased emphasis on post-accelerated course coaching, and a stronger focus on regional internships to enhance the entry of girls and women in the transitioning energy sector. The activity also made progress towards its communications and outreach plan, with the implementation of a social media campaign to promote International Women's Day. Additionally, the E4SEA Activity engaged with bilateral missions and international partners to promote its objectives and outcomes.
