Abstract
It was developed by Zerion Software and is marketed as a "clipboard replacement solution." iFormBuilder includes a database system hosted in the cloud, flexible form-building tools, and the ability to work in both online and offline modes. This platform supports 38 question types and is highly secure at multiple levels, conforming to industry standards such as SSAE16 Type II, HIPAA, and ISO9001. iFormBuilder offers a range of features that enable users to collect and manage data efficiently. The platform includes a device called ThunderPlug, which is a portable server that allows users to create and edit forms, access data, and make other changes in the field. ThunderPlug also enables users to synchronize their mobile devices and provide an extra level of backup. Additionally, iFormBuilder has been integrated with various hardware and software products, including magnetic strip, barcode, and RFID readers, as well as mobile printers and software such as DropBox and Redlaser. iFormBuilder is compatible with Apple iOS products, including the iPod Touch, iPhone, and iPad, and also works with certain Android devices. The platform is used in 110 countries and has a diverse customer base, with the largest industries being NGOs, healthcare, hospitality, and education. Zerion Software, the company behind iFormBuilder, generates revenue from subscriptions to its platform. The impact of iFormBuilder has been significant, as demonstrated by a case study from Catholic Relief Services. By combining iFormBuilder with barcodes at seed fairs, CRS was able to reduce the time and resources required to register seed recipients and vendors from two weeks and 20 staff to two to three days and five staff. This resulted in a significant reduction in costs and improved efficiency.
