Abstract
The instrument is used to evaluate the adherence to clean delivery practices by healthcare professionals during the delivery process. The evaluation is conducted by a designated healthcare professional, who assesses the use of sterile gloves, sterile fields, and sterile ligatures for umbilical cord cutting. The evaluation also assesses the practice of perineal cleaning before delivery and the use of handwashing, sterile scissors, and exclusive use of sterile scissors for umbilical cord cutting. The instrument is used to evaluate the practice of clean delivery during three shifts: morning, afternoon, and night. The evaluation is conducted by observing the healthcare professionals' adherence to clean delivery practices during each shift. The instrument includes a checklist of the practices to be evaluated, including the use of sterile gloves, sterile fields, and sterile ligatures for umbilical cord cutting. The evaluation results show that the healthcare professionals at the Centro Materno Infantil San Lorenzo de Los Minas hospital adhere to clean delivery practices during all shifts.
