Abstract
This type of class is often found in schools with limited student enrollment or in remote areas where access to education is limited. The Multigrade class is designed to cater to the diverse needs of students from different grade levels, with the goal of providing a more inclusive and effective learning environment. The Basa Pilipinas project, in collaboration with the Department of Education, has developed a set of materials to support the teaching of Multigrade classes. These materials include Teacher's Guides, Read Aloud stories, and Leveled Readers, which are designed to cater to the needs of students from different grade levels. The materials are organized into two cycles: the Even cycle and the Odd cycle, which correspond to the two-year instructional sequence of the Multigrade class. The Even cycle is designed for students who are in the 2014, 2016, 2018, and so on, school years, while the Odd cycle is designed for students who are in the 2015, 2017, 2019, and so on, school years. Each unit of the instructional sequence is designed to follow a two-week instructional sequence, with students learning a single topic or theme over the course of two weeks. The Teacher's Guides are designed to provide teachers with a framework for teaching the Multigrade class. The guides include a weekly outline of lessons, which are based on the curriculum for each grade level. The guides also include a list of Leveled Readers and Read Aloud stories that are designed to support the teaching of the Multigrade class. One of the key features of the Multigrade class is the use of a model that allows teachers to adapt the materials to the needs of their students. The model is designed to allow teachers to use the same materials for students from different grade levels, while still catering to the diverse needs of each student. This is achieved by using a combination of Teacher's Guides, Leveled Readers, and Read Aloud stories that are designed to support the teaching of the Multigrade class. The Basa Pilipinas project has also developed a set of Lingguhang Gabay ng Guro sa Filipino para sa Multigrade na Klase, which is designed to support the teaching of Filipino language and literature in the Multigrade class. The materials include a set of Teacher's Guides, Leveled Readers, and Read Aloud stories that are designed to cater to the needs of students from different grade levels. The Lingguhang Gabay ng Guro sa Filipino para sa Multigrade na Klase is organized into four units, each of which corresponds to a different topic or theme. The units include a set of lessons, activities, and assessments that are designed to support the teaching of Filipino language and literature in the Multigrade class. The materials are designed to be flexible and adaptable to the needs of teachers and students. The Teacher's Guides provide a framework for teaching the Multigrade class, while the Leveled Readers and Read Aloud stories provide a range of materials that can be used to support the teaching of the class. The materials are also designed to be culturally relevant and sensitive, with a focus on promoting the use of Filipino language and literature in the classroom. Overall, the Multigrade class is a unique and innovative approach to teaching that is designed to cater to the diverse needs of students from different grade levels. The Basa Pilipinas project has developed a set of materials that are designed to support the teaching of the Multigrade class, including Teacher's Guides, Leveled Readers, and Read Aloud stories. These materials are designed to be flexible and adaptable to the needs of teachers and students, and are intended to promote the use of Filipino language and literature in the classroom.
