The Feed the Future Tanzania Land Tenure Assistance (LTA) team presented first land registration and post registration transactions using MAST and TRUST at the Land Sector Stakeholders' Workshop held in Dodoma on March 18-19.

Abstract
The workshop was facilitated by the Ministry of Lands. The LTA team's presentation focused on the implementation of the Mobile Application to Secure Tenure (MAST) and the Trust (TRUST) systems. MAST is a mobile application designed to facilitate land registration and post registration transactions, while TRUST is a system for managing and tracking land tenure information. The LTA team reported that the MAST system has been successfully implemented in several villages, with over 2,500 farmers receiving training in sustainable agriculture techniques. The team also reported that the TRUST system has been used to track land tenure information, including the registration of Certificate of Customary Rights of Occupancy (CCROs). The LTA team's presentation highlighted the importance of secure land tenure in promoting agricultural development and food security in Tanzania. The team emphasized the need for continued support and investment in the MAST and TRUST systems to ensure their sustainability and scalability. The LTA team's presentation also highlighted the achievements of the program, including the registration of over 10,000 CCROs and the completion of over 500 village land use plans. The team reported that the program has also made significant progress in promoting women's participation in land tenure activities, with over 38% of participants being women-headed households.
