Abstract
The Culmination Workshop for Albarka was conducted in two phases, with the first phase taking place in January 2022 and the second phase following in February 2022. The primary objectives of the Culmination Workshop were established by USAID and the RFSA, focusing on reviewing the implications of new learnings from five essential research activities on the theory of change (TOC) and remaining award implementation plans. The research activities included a Youth-Inclusive Needs Assessment, Social Protection Analysis, Market Analysis, Nutrition Assessment, and Resilience Analysis. These studies aimed to provide critical insights into the resilience food security activity's effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. The findings from these research activities were used to inform the refinement of the activity's design and implementation plans. The Culmination Workshop brought together key stakeholders, including the RFSA team, USAID staff, and Food Security Support Mechanisms (FSSMs), to review the research findings and discuss implications for the activity's future direction. The workshop provided a platform for collaboration and coordination among stakeholders, with a focus on achieving sustainability objectives and refining the activity's design and implementation plans. The workshop structure and logistics were designed to facilitate effective collaboration and coordination among stakeholders. The overall structure of the workshop included refinement discussions, sustainability sessions, and relationship-building activities. The facilitation quality was also a key aspect of the workshop, with a focus on ensuring that all stakeholders were engaged and able to contribute to the discussions. The Culmination Workshop was evaluated through a survey of participants, which aimed to assess the effectiveness of the workshop and identify areas for improvement. The survey results indicated a high level of satisfaction among participants with the collaboration and coordination between the RFSA team and USAID staff, as well as the quality of PCS facilitation. However, some areas for improvement were identified, including the need for more effective planning and communications, improved technical assistance, and enhanced relationship-building activities. The workshop also provided an opportunity for stakeholders to agree on key modifications to the activity's design and implementation plans, as well as areas for continued learning. The results of the workshop will inform the future direction of the RFSA, with a focus on achieving sustainability objectives and improving the effectiveness of the activity. The Culmination Workshop was a critical milestone in the RFSA's lifecycle, providing a platform for stakeholders to review the activity's progress, discuss implications for the future, and agree on key modifications to the design and implementation plans. The workshop's outcomes will inform the future direction of the RFSA, with a focus on achieving sustainability objectives and improving the effectiveness of the activity. The RFSA team, USAID staff, and FSSMs worked together to achieve the objectives of the Culmination Workshop, which included reviewing the implications of new learnings from the research activities on the TOC and remaining award implementation plans. The workshop provided a platform for collaboration and coordination among stakeholders, with a focus on achieving sustainability objectives and refining the activity's design and implementation plans.
