Abstract
The project is part of the USAID mission's Local Construction Program (LCP), which focuses on the rehabilitation and construction of roads, water, and buildings in the West Bank and Gaza. The project's objective is to facilitate the movement of trade and people between the Northern West Bank and the Jordan Valley, contributing to improved economic growth. The project involves the reconstruction of the road from station 0+000 to station 3+750, including the associated access roads. The scope of work includes the rehabilitation of the existing road, including the removal of existing pavement, excavation, and placement of new pavement, as well as the installation of drainage systems and other necessary infrastructure. The project also includes the reconstruction of the Tubas Intersection, which is a critical intersection that connects the road to the surrounding areas. The project is being implemented by the USAID mission in collaboration with the Palestinian Authority's Ministry of Public Works and Housing (MoPWH). The project is expected to improve the economic growth of the region by facilitating the movement of trade and people, and by providing access to basic infrastructure and services. The project is being managed by the USAID mission's Project Control Officer (PCO), who is responsible for overseeing the project's progress and ensuring that it is completed on time and within budget. The project team includes a Project Manager (PM), a Project Engineer (PE), and a Construction Manager (CM), who are responsible for the technical aspects of the project. The project's progress is being monitored and reported on a regular basis, with regular meetings and site visits to ensure that the project is on track to meet its objectives. The project's safety and quality control measures are also being closely monitored to ensure that the project is completed safely and to the required standards. The project's timeline is as follows: the project is expected to be completed within 12 months, with the following milestones: * Month 1-3: Site preparation and excavation * Month 4-6: Placement of new pavement and installation of drainage systems * Month 7-9: Reconstruction of the Tubas Intersection * Month 10-12: Final completion and handover of the project. The project's budget is approximately $10 million, which will be used to cover the costs of materials, labor, and other expenses associated with the project. The project's impact is expected to be significant, with the reconstruction of the road expected to improve the economic growth of the region by facilitating the movement of trade and people, and by providing access to basic infrastructure and services. The project is also expected to create jobs and stimulate economic activity in the region. The project's safety and quality control measures are being closely monitored to ensure that the project is completed safely and to the required standards. The project team is working closely with the Palestinian Authority's Ministry of Public Works and Housing (MoPWH) to ensure that the project meets the required standards and regulations.
