Abstract
The program aims to improve Palestinians' access to basic infrastructure and services, thereby contributing to economic growth. The Al Badhan – Al Nassariya Road Project – Segment B is a key component of the LCP, with the objective of reconstructing approximately 4.64 kilometers of the road in Nablus Governorate. The project aims to facilitate the movement of trade and people between the Northern West Bank and the Jordan Valley, thereby improving economic growth. The rehabilitation of the Al Badhan – Al Nassariya Road Segment B includes the reconstruction of a two-lane rural collector road, construction of concrete side ditches, retaining walls, sidewalks, box culverts, and storm water pipeline. The project also involves supplying and installing crossing pipe culverts, precast concrete open channel, precast catch basin type A & B, and roadway furniture. As of October 31, 2018, the project has made significant progress. The reconstruction of the road has commenced, with a total of 1.2 kilometers completed. The construction of concrete side ditches, retaining walls, and sidewalks is also underway. The project has also made progress in supplying and installing crossing pipe culverts, precast concrete open channel, and precast catch basin type A & B. The project has implemented various safety measures, including the development of a Safety Plan and Measures, regular safety meetings, and the implementation of a Safety Tool Box Log. The project has also conducted regular site visits, inspections, and quality control checks to ensure compliance with the project's requirements. The project has also made progress in terms of material and equipment delivery, with a total of 1,200 tons of materials delivered to the site. The project has also completed 1,500 man-hours of work, with a total of 150 workers employed on the project. The project's progress is being monitored through various indicators, including the completion of tasks, delivery of materials, and implementation of safety measures.
