Abstract
The program aims to improve Palestinians' access to basic infrastructure and services, thereby contributing to the Palestinian economy. The objective of this Task Order is to rehabilitate three roads in the West Bank: Anabta Eastern Entrance Road in Tulkarem Governorate, Beit Sahur Ubeidiya Road in Bethlehem Governorate, and Nablus Asira Al Shamaliya Road in Nablus Governorate. The rehabilitation of these roads involves milling and overlay, widening, constructing side ditches and culverts, and supplying roadway furniture. The Anabta East Entrance Road rehabilitation project includes milling and overlay of approximately 1.56 km of a two-lane road, widening certain segments, constructing a concrete side ditch, supplying and installing crossing pipe culverts, and supplying and installing roadway furniture. The Beit Sahur-Ubeidiya Road rehabilitation project involves milling and overlay of approximately 5.32 km of a two-lane road, constructing sidewalks, supplying and installing minor drainage solutions, and supplying and installing roadway furniture. The Nablus Asira Al Shamaliya Road rehabilitation project includes milling and overlay of approximately 3.63 km of a two-lane road, constructing sidewalks and shoulders, widening certain segments, supplying and installing minor drainage solutions, and supplying and installing roadway furniture. The project area for the Anabta East Entrance Road is located in Area C, with the start point at station 0+000.00 and the end point at station 1560.00. The project area for the Beit Sahur-Ubeidiya Road is also located in Area C, with the start point at station 0+000.00 and the end point at station 0+831.31. The project area for the Nablus Asira Al Shamaliya Road is located in Area C, with the start point at station 0+000.00 and the end point at station 0+789.06. The project is being implemented by Osaily Trading Contracting Co. under Task Order No. AID-294-TO-16-00003 and Contract No. AID-294-I-00-13-00006. The project is expected to improve the condition of the roads, reduce travel time, and enhance the overall quality of life for the local communities. The project is being monitored and evaluated through regular site visits, progress reports, and quality control checks. The project team is working closely with the local authorities and stakeholders to ensure that the project is implemented in accordance with the agreed-upon scope, schedule, and budget. The project has made significant progress during the reporting period, with the completion of various activities, including the milling and overlay of roads, the construction of sidewalks and side ditches, and the supply and installation of roadway furniture. The project team has also conducted regular safety meetings and implemented safety measures to ensure the well-being of the workers and the public. The project is expected to be completed within the agreed-upon timeframe, with the final completion date scheduled for [insert date].
