Abstract
The projects aim to improve transportation infrastructure in the Hebron District of the West Bank. The Hebron Southern Entrance Road project involves the reconstruction of approximately 1.1 km of a four-lane urban main road, including the construction of a major septic tank, replacement of sewer lines, and installation of drainage systems. The project also includes the reconstruction of internal roads, milling and overlay of existing roads, and the construction of a roundabout. The Hebron Northern Entrance Road project involves the rehabilitation of approximately 0.25 km of the Hebron northern entrance road, including intersection improvement, widening, and milling and overlay of Highway 35. The project also includes drainage system upgrades, intersection lighting upgrades, and the installation of required roadway furniture. The projects are being implemented by APCO/ArCon Construction and Services, with Brothers Company for Contracting as the subcontractor. The Hebron Southern Entrance Road project has a contractual period of performance of 330 calendar days, with an estimated completion date of May 5, 2017. The Hebron Northern Entrance Road project has a contractual period of performance of 200 calendar days, with an estimated completion date of December 26, 2016. As of July 31, 2016, the Hebron Southern Entrance Road project had achieved an actual percentage of completion of 3.8%, while the Hebron Northern Entrance Road project had achieved an actual percentage of completion of 3.8%. The projects have not yet started construction activities, with the Hebron Northern Entrance Road project still awaiting the start of construction. Safety measures are being implemented on both projects, with a comprehensive health and safety program plan in place. The plan was approved by the CMC on July 10, 2016, and no accidents were reported during the reporting period. Environmental mitigation plans have also been submitted and approved for both projects. The projects are being monitored and reported on a monthly basis, with the next monthly progress report scheduled to include vantage photos for the Hebron Northern Entrance Road project. The projects are expected to improve transportation infrastructure in the Hebron District, enhancing the quality of life for local residents and supporting economic development in the region. The Hebron Southern Entrance Road project has a project value of $7,063,882.00, while the Hebron Northern Entrance Road project has a project value of $1,002,358.00. The projects are being implemented in accordance with the Statement of Work (SOW), which outlines the scope of work and requirements for each project. The projects are being implemented in accordance with the contractual requirements, with regular monitoring and reporting to ensure that the projects are progressing as planned. The projects are expected to be completed on time and within budget, with the Hebron Southern Entrance Road project expected to be completed by May 5, 2017, and the Hebron Northern Entrance Road project expected to be completed by December 26, 2016.
