The project aims to improve the regional water system and expand services to new customers in the northwest villages of the Hebron Governorate. The project includes constructing new transmission pipelines, rehabilitating an existing transmission pipeline, constructing new distribution pipelines, constructing new service connection chambers, improving existing water reservoirs, and constructing new booster pump stations. The project's objective is to bring clean water to the northwest villages of the Hebron Governorate, benefiting approximately 45,000 people. The project's scope includes the construction of new facilities, such as the Surif and Kharas booster stations, and the construction of new transmission and distribution pipelines. The project also involves the rehabilitation of an existing transmission pipeline and the improvement of existing water reservoirs. The project's safety plan includes measures to ensure compliance with safety and health requirements, as well as supervision and training activities to prevent accidents and negative environmental consequences. The safety plan was submitted to the Construction Management Contractor (CMC) on November 17, 2016. Safety orientations and safety tool box meetings will be conducted for all employees before and during the construction phase. No accidents were reported during this reporting period, and no Notices of Unsafe Condition (NUCs) were issued. The project's traffic control plan will be implemented to ensure safe and efficient movement of personnel and equipment on the construction site. The project's progress is being monitored through various indicators, including the quantity of drinking water available as a result of USG assistance and the person-days of employment generated. The project's quality control status is also being monitored, with inspection requests, testing reports, and non-compliance reports being tracked. The project's procurement status is also being monitored, with procurement activities being conducted during the mobilization phase. The project's payment status is also being monitored, with payments being made to the contractor for work completed. The project's variation order request and variation order are also being tracked. The project's obstacles and challenges are being monitored, and progress photos are being taken to document the project's progress. The project's key data includes the project's name, contract number, task order number, location, owner, client, engineer, contractor, BOQ price, day work, task order total amount, modified task order amount, modified day work, notice of award, notice to proceed, project duration, planned completion date, modified project duration, modified completion date, contract elapsed time, actual % complete, and number of beneficiaries.
