Abstract
The severely affected districts include those in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa region, such as Charsadda, Mardan, and Peshawar, as well as districts in Punjab, including Jhang, Sargodha, and Muzaffargarh. Moderately affected districts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa include Abbottabad, Mansehra, and Swabi, while in Punjab, districts such as Faisalabad, Gujranwala, and Sheikhupura have been moderately affected. The USAID/OFDA-funded programs aim to address the needs of conflict-affected populations, including those now affected by flooding. These programs focus on various sectors, including agriculture and food security, economic recovery and market systems, health, humanitarian coordination and information management, logistics and relief commodities, nutrition, protection, shelter and settlements, and water, sanitation, and hygiene. The implementation of these programs is ongoing, with the goal of providing critical assistance to those affected by the flooding. The Dartmouth Flood Observatory and the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) are sources of information on the flood-affected areas. Their data indicates the extent of the flooding and the districts that have been severely and moderately affected. This information is crucial for the effective implementation of relief efforts and for ensuring that assistance reaches those who need it most. The USAID/OFDA-funded programs are designed to provide a comprehensive response to the needs of flood-affected populations. By targeting various sectors, these programs aim to address the immediate needs of those affected, while also supporting long-term recovery and resilience. The implementation of these programs is ongoing, with a focus on providing critical assistance to those in need.
