Abstract
The program focuses on providing flexible support to address capacity constraints and priorities, with an emphasis on lessons learned from previous DDR processes, technology, innovation, inter-institutional coordination, and private sector engagement. The program's Strategic Objective is to minimize recidivism and prevent new recruitment of adolescents and youth. To achieve this, the IOM deepens its support to the GOC, making reintegration services available throughout the disarmament, demobilization, and reintegration (DDR) cycle. The program recognizes the GOC's leadership and targets assistance to address capacity constraints and priorities, with special emphasis on flexible support for agile responses, application of lessons learned, practices, and models from previous DDR processes, technology, innovation, inter-institutional coordination, and engagement of the private sector. The program's approach is guided by a Program Results Framework, which describes in detail the Four Result Areas. These areas are: 1. Former Combatants and Disengaged Children Reintegrated into Civilian Life 2. Communities and Local Communities Support Reintegration and Prevention 3. GOC Capacity Strengthened to Support Reintegration and Prevention 4. RPR Program Sustained and Replicated The program's progress is presented in the Summary of Key Quarterly Results and accompanying Map of RPR Project Activities.
