Abstract
The initiative, supported by USAID's Food Security Program, has focused on expanding internet services and strengthening digital competencies in the Amazonas region of Peru. Key indicators of the program's success include the mobilization of private investment in internet services, with a total value of $5.3 million in the first year and $3.5 million in the second year. The number of paying internet customers has also increased, with 15,000 customers in the first year and 6,500 in the second year. However, the program has faced challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which has led to a decline in economic activity and a shift to virtual operations.
