The hub's primary objective is to improve energy access, security, and sustainability in the region. The EDGE Hub is a collaborative effort between USAID, the Regional Development Mission for Asia (RDMA), and other regional stakeholders. The EDGE Hub's technical services are provided in three countries: the Philippines, Thailand, and Timor-Leste. In Thailand, the hub has been supporting the development of renewable energy projects, including solar and wind power. In Timor-Leste, the hub has been working with the government to improve the country's energy access and security. The EDGE Hub has also been conducting a webinar training series, which has reached over 1,000 participants from across the region. The series has covered topics such as energy policy and planning, renewable energy development, and energy access and security. The hub has also been providing technical resources and tools to support the development of energy projects in the region. In terms of communications, outreach, and knowledge management, the EDGE Hub has been active in promoting its work and achievements through various channels. The hub has been publishing a newsletter, "On the EDGE," which has been distributed to over 2,000 subscribers. In terms of administration, the EDGE Hub has been managed by Tetra Tech, Inc. under a contract with USAID. The hub has been staffed by a team of experts in energy and development, who have been working to implement the hub's activities and projects. The EDGE Hub has faced several challenges, including the COVID-19 pandemic, which has impacted the hub's ability to conduct in-person activities and projects. However, the hub has been able to adapt to these challenges and has continued to make progress towards its objectives. Looking ahead, the EDGE Hub plans to continue its work in the region, with a focus on improving energy access, security, and sustainability. The hub plans to continue its technical services in the Philippines, Thailand, and Timor-Leste, and to expand its work to other countries in the region.
