Abstract
The project aims to evacuate power from wind power projects (WPPs) at Jhimpir. The site visit report, dated December 07, 2016, was conducted by the Monitoring, Inspection, Milestone Certification and Design Review (MIMDR) team of AA Associates Islamabad. The report highlights the progress made on the project, including the completion and energization of the 132kV Double Circuit Transmission Line from Jhimpir New to T.M Khan Grid Station on October 3, 2016. The construction of the 132kV Switchyard at 220/132KV Jhimpir-I Grid Station was also complete and energized, with power being dispersed through the 132kV switchyard. However, civil work and installation of equipment in the 220kV Switchyard were still in progress, with an expected completion date of April 30, 2017. The report also notes that the 132kV Transmission Line interconnection of WPPs with 220/132kV Jhimpir Grid Station was complete. Additionally, the erection of towers and stringing of conductor on the 220kV Double Circuit Transmission Line from Jhimpir to T.M Khan Road Hyderabad Grid station was in progress. The MIMDR team directed the project team to monitor environmental compliance at the site, submit monthly progress reports, and display branding display boards. The team also identified bottlenecks in the project, including right of way problems on the 220kV Transmission Line from Jhimpir to T.M Khan Road Grid Station Hyderabad, allocation of conductor, insulators, and OPGW for Lot-I of the contract, delivery of 220/132kV Transformers at site, and implementation of the solution for the 132kV line entry problem at T.M Khan Grid Station and T.M.Khan Road Grid Station Hyderabad. The expected completion date for the project is April 30, 2017, with the completion of the 220kV Double Circuit Transmission Line Jhimpir-T.M. Khan Road and 220/132kV Jhimpir-I Grid station. The report includes annexures with photographs of the site visit, including a briefing by NESPAK Engineer on the construction of the project, civil works at the 220kV Switchyard, and a meeting at Jhimpir New Grid station.
