Abstract
The project aims to promote inclusive and accessible sports programs for people with disabilities. The geographic focus of the project is in the departments of Antioquia, Santander, Magdalena, and Caquetá, with a total of 10 municipalities participating in the initiative. The project's objectives are centered around three main results: contributing to the construction and validation of rehabilitation policies, strengthening the National Disability System, and promoting alliances with public and private institutions to guarantee the sustainability of the project. To achieve these objectives, the project has implemented various activities, including training programs for rehabilitation professionals, the development of a collective intervention plan, and the transfer of the Community-Based Rehabilitation (CBR) model to local stakeholders. The project has made significant progress in its implementation, with a focus on strengthening public policy actions in rehabilitation, promoting research and training around rehabilitation, and transferring the CBR model to local stakeholders. The project has also established alliances with public and private institutions to guarantee the sustainability of the initiative. In terms of communication and dissemination, the project has implemented various strategies to raise awareness about the importance of inclusive sports programs for people with disabilities. The project has also coordinated with government entities and civil society organizations to promote the project's objectives and activities. Despite the progress made, the project has faced several challenges, including the COVID-19 pandemic, which has affected the implementation of some activities. However, the project has adapted to these challenges and has continued to make progress in its implementation. The project's financial report for the quarter is also included in the document, which highlights the project's financial situation and the use of funds. The report also includes information on the project's sustainability and the plans for the next quarter. The project's annexes include a successful story, an advance report on indicators, and other relevant documents that provide additional information on the project's activities and progress. Overall, the Sport Power 2 project has made significant progress in its implementation, with a focus on promoting inclusive and accessible sports programs for people with disabilities. The project has established alliances with public and private institutions to guarantee the sustainability of the initiative, and has adapted to the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
