Abstract
The project's primary objective is to increase awareness and catalyze action for natural resource management, community engagement, and social and behavior change communications in Cambodia. The project focuses on two geographic areas: the Prey Lang forest and surrounding landscape, and the Eastern Plains landscape. However, it also allows for flexibility to work outside of these areas. The project team will employ validated best practices in natural resource management, community engagement, and social and behavior change communications to engage audiences and protect natural resources. Partnerships will be established with a wide range of stakeholders, including women, youth, indigenous groups, civil society organizations, non-governmental organizations, private sector entities, and government bodies with environment-related mandates. The project aims to build on successful models of communication throughout Cambodia. The Grants Under Contract (GUC) manual serves as an instructional guide for project staff overseeing the grant-making process. It provides guidelines on the application process, selection and award process, and grant implementation and management. The grants program is designed in accordance with ECODIT's policies and practices and USAID requirements. Any deviation from the procedures described in the manual requires approval from ECODIT's President or designee, and, where applicable, from USAID. The project's geographic focus is on Cambodia, with a national audience. The project's timeframes span from October 1, 2019 to September 30, 2024. The project's recommendations and implementation details are outlined in the GUC manual, which serves as a guide for project staff. The manual provides detailed information on grant administration, including application process, selection and award process, and grant implementation and management. The project's implementation details are outlined in the GUC manual, which includes information on grant types, minimum eligibility criteria, competition, application process overview, cost sharing, format for grant applications, selection criteria, application review procedures, negotiation, grant award, grant administration, records, marking under USAID-funded assistance instruments, amendments and extension, recipient responsibilities, conflict of interest, grant files and closeout, and procurement procedures. The manual provides a comprehensive guide for project staff overseeing the grant-making process.
