The USAID-DFID NGO Health Service Delivery Project has reported a 4% increase in the number of Couple Years of Protection (CYP) in November 2016 compared to October 2016.

Abstract
The total number of CYP achieved in November 2016 was 134,943, with 69% from rural areas and 31% from urban areas. The number of CYP has increased by 4% in November 2016 from that of October 2016. The project has also reported a 2% increase in the total number of service contacts in November 2016 compared to October 2016. The total number of service contacts in November 2016 was 3,676,598, with 61% from rural areas and 39% from urban areas. The proportion of service contacts who qualify as poor was 45.1% in November 2016, with 41.1% from rural areas and 51.4% from urban areas. The number of service contacts to the poor increased by 5% in November 2016 compared to October 2016. The project has also reported an increase in the number of injectables provided to prevent unintended pregnancies, with 162,216 injectables provided in November 2016 compared to 160,729 in October 2016. The number of deliveries with an S in targeted communities decreased by 4% in November 2016 compared to October 2016. The project has also reported an increase in the number of ANC check-ups, with 152,395 ANC check-ups in November 2016 compared to 152,184 in October 2016. The number of child pneumonia cases treated with antibiotics increased by 7% in November 2016 compared to October 2016. The project has also reported an increase in the number of children under 12 months who received Penta 3, with 12,681 children receiving Penta 3 in November 2016 compared to 12,681 in October 2016. The number of pregnant and lactating women who received counseling on adoption of IYCF practices increased by 4% in November 2016 compared to October 2016. The project has also reported an increase in the number of pregnant and lactating women prescribed with 50 IFA, with 95,137 women prescribed in November 2016 compared to 85,766 in October 2016. The number of service contacts with children under 5 that included growth monitoring increased by 3% in November 2016 compared to October 2016. The project has also reported an increase in the number of CYP by method, with 134,943 CYP achieved in November 2016 compared to 129,325 in October 2016.
