Abstract
The program's geographic focus is on the Prey Lang Extended Landscape, which spans across several provinces in Cambodia, including Stung Treng, Ratanakiri, and Mondulkiri. The program's objective is to strengthen inclusive and effective landscape governance, increase sustainable and equitable economic opportunities, community livelihoods, and natural capital reinvestment, and improve biodiversity conservation and ecosystem health. The program's implementation is led by Tetra Tech, in collaboration with various implementing partners and stakeholders. The program's management and communications are overseen by the Chief of Party, Matthew Edwardsen, and the Project Manager, Patricia Caffrey. The program's administration and project management are handled by the Tetra Tech team, while communications and outreach are facilitated through various channels, including social media and community engagement. The program's activities are focused on three main objectives. Objective 1 aims to improve biodiversity conservation and ecosystem health in the Prey Lang Extended Landscape. This objective involves the establishment of community protected areas, community forests, and biodiversity conservation corridors. Objective 2 focuses on increasing sustainable and equitable economic opportunities, community livelihoods, and natural capital reinvestment. This objective involves the development of sustainable agriculture practices, community-based ecotourism, and natural resource management. Objective 3 aims to strengthen inclusive and effective landscape governance, which involves the establishment of a community-led governance structure and the development of a landscape management plan. The program's progress is monitored and evaluated through various indicators, including the establishment of community protected areas, the development of sustainable agriculture practices, and the increase in community livelihoods. The program's performance is tracked through a performance indicator tracking table, which provides a comprehensive overview of the program's progress and achievements. The program's next quarter activities are focused on the implementation of the program's objectives, including the establishment of community protected areas, the development of sustainable agriculture practices, and the strengthening of inclusive and effective landscape governance. The program's community protected areas are being established in several districts, including Thala Barivat district in Stung Treng province.
