Abstract
The platform is a key component of the Mission's Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) strategy, which aims to strengthen the Mission's ability to monitor and evaluate its programs and activities. The MEL-P platform is a web-based system that provides a range of tools and functionalities to support monitoring, evaluation, and learning. The platform is designed to facilitate data collection, analysis, and reporting, as well as to support collaboration and knowledge sharing among Mission staff and implementing partners. During the reporting period of August 18, 2020 to September 30, 2021, the MEL-P team made significant progress in implementing the platform and providing support to the Mission. Key achievements include the development and implementation of a new data quality assessment (DQA) tool, the establishment of a context monitoring dashboard, and the provision of technical assistance to the Mission on monitoring and evaluation. The MEL-P team also conducted a range of activities to support the Mission's Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning strategy, including the development of a MEL plan, the establishment of a MEL matrix, and the provision of training and technical assistance to Mission staff. In addition, the team conducted a retrospective review of the 2020 Activity and Progress Evaluations, and provided support to the Mission on the development of a new Activity Management Plan. The MEL-P team worked closely with the Mission's Activity Management team to ensure that the platform was aligned with the Mission's priorities and objectives. The team also collaborated with implementing partners to ensure that the platform was meeting their needs and providing them with the support they required. The MEL-P platform has been widely adopted by the Mission and implementing partners, and has become an essential tool for monitoring and evaluation. The platform has facilitated improved data collection, analysis, and reporting, and has supported the Mission's ability to make informed decisions about its programs and activities. The MEL-P team is committed to continuing to support the Mission in achieving its development objectives, and is working to further develop and improve the platform to meet the evolving needs of the Mission and implementing partners.
