Abstract
The project's principal purpose is to enable USAID/Jordan to fulfill its performance and evaluation requirements. MESP's work is guided by the USAID/Jordan Country Development Cooperation Strategy (CDCS), which outlines the mission's goals and objectives for the 2014-2018 period. The CDCS emphasizes the importance of effective monitoring and evaluation in assessing progress towards achieving the mission's objectives. During the third year of MESP, the project focused on strengthening the implementation of the Mission Performance Management Plan (PMP) and enhancing the utilization of quality data to effectively assess progress towards the achievement of the CDCS. The project also aimed to strengthen project/activity evaluation and improve the communication of selected mission results. MESP collaborated closely with the USAID/Jordan Program Office and implementing partners to provide technical assistance and training in monitoring and evaluation. The project also supported the development of a Mission M&E Management Information System (MIS) and Geographical Information System (GIS) to enhance data collection and analysis. The project's results were measured against the following key performance indicators (KPIs): strengthened PMP implementation and utility, project/activity evaluation strengthened, and effective communication of selected mission results implemented. The project's accomplishments were documented in the MESP Results Framework, which outlined the project's goals, objectives, and expected outcomes. MESP's collaboration with the USAID/Jordan Program Office and implementing partners was a key factor in the project's success. The project's technical assistance and training helped to build the capacity of the mission and its partners in monitoring and evaluation, and the development of a Mission M&E MIS and GIS enhanced the collection and analysis of data. The project's results were also influenced by the constraints and limitations faced by the mission and its partners. These included limited resources, capacity gaps, and challenges in data collection and analysis. Despite these challenges, the project was able to achieve its objectives and make significant contributions to the mission's performance and evaluation requirements. The project's accomplishments were documented in the MESP Annual Report, which outlined the project's goals, objectives, and expected outcomes. The report also provided an overview of the project's results, including the accomplishments achieved and the challenges faced. The report was intended to provide stakeholders with a comprehensive understanding of the project's progress and achievements. MESP's work on the Mission Performance Management Plan (PMP) was a key area of focus for the project. The PMP is a critical tool for the mission in assessing progress towards achieving its objectives. MESP provided technical assistance and training to the mission and its partners in the development and implementation of the PMP. The project also supported the development of a Mission M&E Management Information System (MIS) and Geographical Information System (GIS). The MIS and GIS were designed to enhance data collection and analysis, and to provide the mission with a more comprehensive understanding of its performance and evaluation requirements. The project's results were also influenced by the constraints and limitations
