Building Constituencies Among National, Provincial, and Local Activists and Groups Focused on Promoting Women's Equality and Empowerment Musharikat has formed eight issue-based coalitions with participation from at least 300 women's rights-focused civil society organizations (CSOs) and 5,000 activists from all 34 provinces.

Abstract
The coalitions include Access to Justice (AJ), Women's Political Participation (WPP), Access to Healthcare (AH), Access to Education (AE), Access to Economic Opportunities (AEO), Violence Against Women (VAW), Women in Peace Process (WIP), and Harassment of Women and Girls (HWG). The project has exceeded its life of project goal for CSO membership, with 348 CSOs registered to date. Recruiting efforts have delivered strong member growth, with a total of 2,579 registered coalition members. Musharikat, with the support of Dr. Habiba Sarabi, held a meeting with key civil society organizations, including Afghan Women's Network (AWN), United States Institute of Peace (USIP), and Equality for Peace and Democracy (EPD), to plan the next steps in engaging women more fully in the emerging peace process. The meeting aimed to bring together a group of women from Provincial Peace Committees (PPCs), leading civil society organizations, and Musharikat's Women in Peace Process (WIP) Coalition of activists, along with leading mullahs from across the country, for a working conference. The conference will focus on improving women's representation on PPCs, reviewing the roles of female PPC members, and improving coordination between female PPC members, civil society groups, and religious leaders. Strengthening Effective Issue-Based Advocacy for Women's Equality and Empowerment Musharikat has made significant progress in strengthening effective issue-based advocacy for women's equality and empowerment. The project has established a strong network of civil society organizations and community-based advocates from all regions of the country. The eight issue-based coalitions have been formed, and the project has exceeded its life of project goal for CSO membership. The coalitions have been actively engaged in advocacy efforts, including the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign. Increasing Awareness and Support for Women's Rights in All 34 Provinces of Afghanistan Musharikat has increased awareness and support for women's rights in all 34 provinces of Afghanistan.
