Abstract
The courses were part of the USAID Training and Facilitation Services contract, which aimed to provide training and facilitation services to USAID staff and partners. The courses were delivered in various formats, including virtual and in-person sessions. The courses were categorized into four instructional areas: Instructional Area 1, Instructional Area 2, Instructional Area 3, and Instructional Area 4. Instructional Area 1 included courses such as New Entrant Orientation, Career Candidate Corps Orientation, and Supervisor Certification Course. Instructional Area 2 had no activities in this quarter. Instructional Area 3 included courses such as Activity Design and Implementation, Applied Performance Monitoring and Evaluation, and Assistance 201. Instructional Area 4 included courses such as CPD Team Building Event, El Salvador Mission Senior Leadership Retreat, and HCTM/OPS Team Building Workshop. The EnCompass team successfully managed the administration, staffing, course logistics, and curriculum design for the contract, as well as registration and Administrative Management Services (AMS) communication for the New Employee Orientation deliveries. The team also piloted new courses, such as the 4-Day Virtual Supervisor Certification Course and the virtual USAID 202 and USAID 203 courses. The primary challenge faced by the EnCompass team this quarter was managing the extension and closure of the T&F contract while simultaneously starting up the follow-on Worldwide Training Services contract. The team also faced challenges transitioning back to in-person deliveries after two and a half years of virtual deliveries. However, with the help of the COR, the team was able to request security clearances and computers, and one facilitator was granted a computer in time. Participants provided general comments about the sessions conducted from October–December 2022. Illustrative feedback is provided below. The Career Candidate Corps Orientation was appreciated for its coordination of guest speakers and in-person sessions. The 4-Day Virtual Supervisor Certification Course was praised for its facilitators, interactivity, and practical application of concepts. The New Entrant Orientation was appreciated for its support and resources provided to incoming FSOs. The EnCompass team successfully managed the administration, staffing, course logistics, and curriculum design for the contract, as well as registration and Administrative Management
