USG HUMANITARIAN ASSISTANCE TO CÔTE D’IVOIRE AND LIBERIA

The assistance is coordinated by various United Nations agencies, including the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), and the World Food Programme (WFP). The total number of refugees in the region is approximately 149,453, with the majority located in Liberia. The USG humanitarian assistance is critical in addressing the needs of these refugees and IDPs, and in supporting the efforts of the international community to provide relief and assistance to those affected by the crisis. The geographic focus of the USG humanitarian assistance is primarily in the western region of Côte d'Ivoire and in Liberia, with a focus on the counties of Grand Bassa, Margibi, Montserrado, and River Cess.
