Abstract
This initiative is a three-year effort with two one-year option periods, designed to build, disseminate, and promote PYD evidence and learning within and across multiple sectors. The activity will also provide rapid response and technical assistance to USAID staff and partners to incorporate PYD best practices into the design, implementation, and implementation of youth development programs. Task 1 of the YP2LE activity focuses on advancing the PYD Learning Agenda and other youth-related learning agendas. This task aims to build more robust data and evidence for what works and for whom in PYD and cross-sectoral youth programming. Task 1 also involves packaging and disseminating this evidence in actionable tools, learning products, and products for youth development practitioners. During Year 2 Q3, YP2LE made progress toward achieving the Expected Results outlined in the Request for Quotation (RFQ) USAID No. 7200AA19Q00024 for YP2LE. The activity conducted a Systematic Literature Review of PYD Impacts on Marginalized and Vulnerable Youth, which was completed and approved on May 12, 2021. The review's findings were contributed to the PYD Learning Agenda. The activity also convened the PYD Learning Agenda Advisory Group (LAAG) on April 20, 2021, and meeting documents were shared with LAAG. The meeting was scheduled for August 17, 2021, to discuss Measuring the Resilience of Youth Systems (Framework and Tool). However, the activity transitioned to Task 4 as a buy-in due to USAID's decision on May 24, 2021. Task 2 of the YP2LE activity focuses on growing the PYD Learning Network. This task involves increasing the number of stakeholders informed by PYD knowledge, skills, and data, including 1st change-makers, so they can better apply PYD principles and practices. The activity aims to leverage the platforms to disseminate and improve the knowledge, skills, and practices of those working in PYD. Task 4 of the YP2LE activity focuses on providing rapid response technical support through buy-ins. This task involves increasing the number of PYD-fund USAID-funded activities and the understanding of USAID staff, partners, and youth-led/youth-serving organizations on PYD best practices and youth systems. The activity aims to leverage the buy-ins to disseminate and improve the knowledge, skills, and practices of those working in PYD.
