AID cooperative agreement no. OTR-0500-A-00-9194-00 with Africare in a child survival project in Imo State, Nigeria

Key interventions will include growth monitoring and nutrition promotion, oral rehydration therapy, immunizations, child spacing, and presumptive treatment of malaria for fever. Africare will train community based workers, traditional medical practitioners, and traditional birth attendants to provide teaching, counseling, monitoring, and referral services both through home visits and at meetings of women"s associations. Africare will also conduct a regional training workshop for U.S. PVO"s working on child survival activities in Anglophone Africa.
