Abstract
The grant will enable ELP to expand the monthly circulation of Active Voice from 7,000 to 105,000 through insertion of the newsletter in five community newspapers. Also under the grant, ELP will publish in Active Voice a voter education series leading up to South Africa"s first democratic election; conduct six workshops for literacy teachers; evaluate the efficacy of Active Voice as a literacy tool and the efficiency of distribution mechanisms; and receive TA for organizational and staff development.
