Abstract
The project's geographic coverage includes Buenaventura-Valle del Cauca, Buriticá-Antioquia, Porce Canyon, and Antioquia. The second year of the project, spanning from October 2018 to September 2019, saw the full implementation of the Laboratories in the three regions, incorporating activities from all project components, including regional diagnosis, training, dialogue, and cooperation. The training component of the project was a crucial aspect, focusing on social and technical skills. The approach to training was tailored to the needs and interests of the participants, with a focus on creating a trust environment and empowering individuals in their learning process. The use of active pedagogy, which encourages hands-on learning and practice, was found to be effective in strengthening the skills of the participants. A team of facilitators who value people's competencies and develop activities that foster relationships and a safe learning space were also key to the success of the training component. The Laboratories' training component allowed for the generation of relationships of trust between participants, creating links between people through recognition and enabling reflections on the way they relate. This prepared the participants for the components of dialogue and cooperation, which were also implemented during the second year of the project. The training component became a fundamental element of the Laboratories, enabling the development of essential skills for the participants to engage in dialogue and cooperation effectively. The project's focus on dialogue and cooperation was also a significant aspect of the second year. The Laboratories implemented various activities, including workshops for women and men, to strengthen the gender and inclusion strategy. The application and analysis of metric instruments were also carried out during this period. The project's goal was to create a safe and inclusive environment for dialogue and cooperation, allowing participants to share their perspectives and work together towards common goals. The project's geographic focus was on the regions of Buenaventura-Valle del Cauca, Buriticá-Antioquia, Porce Canyon, and Antioquia. The project's implementation was guided by the Country Development Cooperation Strategy (CDCS) and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). The project's activities were designed to contribute to the strengthening of social mobilization in Buenaventura, building trust with local leaders, and promoting reconciliation and business development in the region. The project's implementation was overseen by the Agreement Officer's Representative (AOR) and the Activity Monitoring & Evaluation and Learning Plan (AMELP). The project's progress was monitored and evaluated through regular reporting and assessments. The project's outcomes and lessons learned were documented in the annual report, providing valuable insights for future projects and initiatives.
