Abstract
The projects are being implemented by Trigon Associates, LLC, under the supervision of the Ministry of Public Works and Housing (MPWH) and the Ministry of Education (MOE). The JSEP is a comprehensive project aimed at expanding and upgrading 144 schools across Jordan. The project is divided into four phases, with each phase comprising multiple packages. As of the biweekly report dated June 13, 2019, Phase I has been completed, with all packages successfully closed out. However, remaining punch list items are still pending between MPWH and the contractor. Phase II is also nearing completion, with utilities remaining a major challenge. Trigon continues to follow up with MPWH, MOE, and supervising firms to ensure timely completion of the project. The SKEP is a separate initiative aimed at upgrading school infrastructure in Jordan. The project is also divided into two phases, with each phase comprising multiple packages. As of the biweekly report dated June 13, 2019, Phase I is nearing completion, with utilities connections still in progress. Phase II is currently underway, with construction progressing at a slower pace due to obstacles from existing electrical poles and underground cables. Implementation of both projects is being carried out by various contractors, including Sadeen Contracting, Al Joud Contracting, and Mohammad Eidi & Sons. Trigon staff are working closely with the contractors, MPWH, and MOE to ensure timely completion of the projects. The projects are expected to be completed by September 15, 2021, with a total duration of 36 months. The biweekly report highlights several challenges faced by the projects, including utilities connections, payment of fees by MOE, and completion of technical studies by the electrical company. Trigon continues to follow up with the relevant authorities to address these challenges and ensure timely completion of the projects. The report also highlights the progress made by the projects, including the completion of Phase I of the JSEP and the substantial completion of several schools in Phase I of the SKEP. Overall, the JSEP and SKEP are critical initiatives aimed at upgrading school infrastructure in Jordan. The projects are being implemented by Trigon Associates, LLC, under the supervision of MPWH and MOE. Despite several challenges, the projects are progressing steadily, with Trigon staff working closely with the contractors and relevant authorities to ensure timely completion.
