Abstract
This tool is designed for reporting on health promotion activities conducted in counties and sub-counties. The tool must be completed at the end of each activity and submitted electronically. The tool consists of several sections, including background information, reach of messaging, mechanisms for community engagement, and rumor or misinformation. The tool also includes a series of questions that gather information on the activity, including the designation of the person reporting, the county and sub-county where the activity was conducted, the date and period of reporting, and the specific activity conducted. The tool requires the selection of a disease area, which can include COVID-19, RMNCAH, Nutrition, NCDs, drug and substance abuse, emerging issues, neglected tropical diseases, HIV, and cancer. If the disease area selected is NCDs, the tool requires the specification of the specific NCD, such as hypertension, kidney diseases, diabetes, or cardiovascular diseases. The tool also requires information on the health promotion settings where the activity was conducted, including health facilities, media houses, communities, markets, institutions, and other settings. If the setting is not listed, the tool allows for the specification of the setting. In addition, the tool requires information on the group of people that were sensitized, including healthcare workers, advocacy groups, community health resource persons, champions, pupils, media personnel, teachers, and others. If the activity was conducted at a health facility, the tool requires the selection of the type of health facility, including community units, dispensaries, health centers, sub-county hospitals, and county referral hospitals. The tool also requires information on the type of institution where the activity was conducted, including primary schools, secondary schools, tertiary institutions, rehabilitation centers, and others. If the activity was conducted in a community or village, the tool requires the selection of the type of community or village engaged, including youth, women, business communities, special groups, organized groups, and others. Overall, the Health Promotion Reporting Tool is designed to gather information on health promotion activities conducted in counties and sub-counties, and to provide a framework for reporting on these activities. The tool is intended to support the monitoring and evaluation of health promotion activities, and to inform decision-making at the county and sub-county levels.
