Abstract
The program aims to improve maternal, newborn, and child health and family planning and reproductive health services in Niger. In Niger, the program focuses on increasing access to quality maternal, newborn, and child health and family planning and reproductive health information, services, and interventions. The program also aims to improve the capacity of host country institutions, organizations, and providers to deliver evidence-based services. The program's implementation status is reported in the quarterly performance report for FY2023, Q2. The report highlights the progress made in achieving the program's objectives, including the increase in the number of beneficiaries reached with routine immunization, the number of pregnant women receiving antenatal care services, and the number of children and pregnant women reached with family planning and reproductive health services. The program has also made significant progress in improving the capacity of host country institutions, organizations, and providers to deliver evidence-based services. This includes the training of health workers in family planning and reproductive health services, the establishment of community management committees, and the implementation of the country's national health information system.
